In crash tests conducted by UK-based private vehicle safety group Global NCAP, India’s top-selling hatchbacks, Maruti Suzuki WagonR and Hyundai Santro, received two stars and the Datsun RediGo got a single star. The WagonR and Santro achieved two stars for adult and child occupant protection as these models offer only one airbag as standard.
